The Hutt Salon Supporting the Community with Cuppa Club Initiative
The Hutt Salon based in Wyken, Coventry is supporting the local community by running a Cuppa Club, launching on 6th April between 10am - 3pm for those over the age of 65. Having been in business for 5 years, the hairdressing salon prides itself on being a safe and welcoming space for both customers and staff.
Coventry and Warwickshire Chamber Training supports The Hut Salon to train apprentices in all aspects of the latest hairdressing trends and techniques. Current apprentice, Cadence Buddy, started her apprenticeship in 2022 and is thriving in her role, developing new skills and confidence in dealing with customers and working with colleagues. She has been given the responsibility of running the Cuppa Club, an initiative aimed at providing a warm and hospitable environment for older clients to come together and socialise. It only costs clients £10 to have their hair styled, topped off with a cup of tea or coffee and a slice of cake. The Hutt Salon has worked with Coventry and Warwickshire Chamber Training to train apprentices for a number of years and sees the real value that apprentices add to the business.
