Supporting a Local Community Charity to Upskill

At Coventry and Warwickshire Chamber of Commerce Training, we are dedicated to supporting the local community and upskilling charities in the Coventry area. One of our notable collaborations has been with Feeding Coventry, a small charity based in Foleshill. Together, we have worked towards upskilling their staff and volunteers, empowering them to provide exceptional customer service and support to those in need.

Feeding Coventry is a remarkable charity with a compelling vision—to create a food-resilient city where no one goes hungry. They actively collaborate with partners and local communities to address the root causes of hunger, establish food security, offer low-cost food to vulnerable groups, and support individuals experiencing crises. Their goal is to enable the community to take ownership of various initiatives, including a discounted food scheme, a community café, school holiday hunger programs, cooking programs, vocational support, peer mentoring, and free, confidential advice.

To assist Feeding Coventry in achieving its objectives, we have provided them with discounted bespoke commercial training courses and vouchers. These vouchers were distributed to the community volunteers and staff, enabling them to receive a complimentary cut and blow-dry in our in-house salon. The training sessions, conducted by our experienced Commercial Trainer Sharon Miles, were designed to enhance the volunteers' and staff's ability to meet customer expectations and handle complaints effectively. Over the course of several weeks, all staff and volunteers received comprehensive training, learning a range of techniques, including how to transform complaints into positive experiences.
