National Earth Day 2023
National Earth Day is celebrated every year on April 22nd, and this year is no exception. More than a billion people across the globe participate in this day to raise awareness about the importance of protecting our planet from pollution, waste, and environmental degradation. By taking part in activities like planting trees and picking up litter, we can create a happier and healthier world to live in.
The theme for this year's Earth Day is "Invest in Our Planet," and Coventry and Warwickshire Chamber Training is one of many organizations taking part in activities that promote sustainable ways of protecting the environment. We want to create a better place for our next generation of apprentices. As part of our efforts, we will be planting a tree on our premises and creating a hanging basket to support habitats for the environment. Our staff will also be engaging in litter picking activities to protect the natural surroundings and ensure that they are safe for wildlife and people. This will also support in creating a fun and welcoming environment for apprentices and employers to attend for both apprenticeship and commercial courses.
Our efforts to protect the environment will help us to offset our carbon footprint and create a better future for our apprentices and the next generation. By participating in National Earth Day, we are making a positive impact on the environment and setting an example for others to follow. National Earth Day is a crucial day for the planet and serves as a reminder that we must take responsibility for our actions and work towards protecting the environment. By investing in our planet and taking small steps like planting trees and litter picking, we can create a sustainable future for ourselves and the generations of apprentices to come.
