Helping to Bring Smiles to Children's Faces this Christmas

Each year, Coventry & Warwickshire Chamber Training participates in an advent calendar appeal for Coventry children living in hostels, domestic violence units, and temporary accommodation before Christmas. This year Coventry and Warwickshire Chamber Training received an impressive contribution of over 60 advent calendars.

According to Child Poverty Action Group, a UK charity that works to alleviate poverty and social exclusion, 4.2 million children are living in poverty in the UK in 2021-22. That's 29 per cent of children, or nine in a classroom of 30.

Commenting on the appeal, Sarah Williams, a Training Manager at Chamber Training said: “For the past few years, we have been collecting advent calendars for children in poverty across Coventry with great success.

“The advent calendars will be hand delivered around Coventry to lots of children who are living in poverty. We are delighted to help them with these donations and each calendar will make so many children happy.”
