Coventry & Warwickshire Chamber Training Scoops Training Provider of the Year
Coventry & Warwickshire Chamber Training, a specialist provider of Apprenticeships training has been awarded the prestigious award of Training Provider of the Year 2018 at The Coventry Freeman’s Guild Awards.
The purpose of the Guild Awards is to celebrate the achievements of exceptional local, young people undertaking an Apprenticeship in Coventry area.
Specialising in providing a wide range of exceptional Apprenticeships for employers across Coventry & Warwickshire, Chamber Training helps to develop individuals in their chosen career paths to gain new skills and nationally recognised qualifications whilst earning a salary and gaining invaluable work experience. The expert team of advisers based in Radford, Coventry has exceptional knowledge in working closely with employers and Apprentices, offering high quality individual advice and guidance.
Chamber Training was particularly pleased as this was the second year they had been awarded such a prestigious accolade. Their Apprentice who received the Apprentice of the Year 2018 Award for the Small to Medium Employer category was Kathleen Cullerton-Underwood who works at Zenith Contractors in Coventry, recognised for her outstanding development as an Accountancy Apprentice together with her extensive voluntary work across seas with under privileged children. Her dedication to charity work has also helped to develop her role in customer services at the firm as she has a deep understanding of people and an empathy in how to deal with a wide range of customer demands.
Kathleen said: “It’s a great feeling just to be nominated for this award, especially when it’s the people you work with who have acknowledged your hard work put your name forward. Working in the accounts department at Zenith has given me an insight into various ways of running a business, and I am extremely grateful for the opportunity. I’d like to thank Chamber Training for nominating me for the award, and I am delighted to have won.”
Lord Mayor of Coventry, Cllr John Blundell was in attendance at the awards, which have been running annually since 2005, as President of the Guild.
Sally Lucas, Executive Director at Chamber Training commented: “The Freemen’s Guild Awards celebrate the achievements of exceptional, local, young people undertaking an Apprenticeship in Coventry area, and Kathleen is certainly one of them.
“We’re delighted that she Kathleen has been recognised for her outstanding development as an Accountancy Apprentice together with her extensive voluntary work overseas with under privileged children. Her dedication to charity work has also helped to develop her role in customer services at the firm, as she has a deep understanding of people and empathy in how to deal with a wide range of customer demands.
“Chamber Training is currently working with over 600 apprentices to develop highly skilled individuals that can grow with the business to become valued members of the workforce. We liaise with over 1,000 organisations to help identify solutions which will enhance business performance by harnessing fresh new talent in the business. I’d like to congratulate Kathleen on this award. She has represented Chamber Training to the highest level and is more than deserving of the accolade.”
