Changes to Apprenticeship Funding
Businesses are being supported to seamlessly navigate their way onto the digital apprenticeship service as part of the transition of all employers onto the service from 1st April.
A leading local provider of high-quality apprenticeships, Coventry and Warwickshire Chamber of Commerce Training’s specialist team of advisors have been working closely with businesses to support them in navigating their way onto the digital apprenticeship service which is the Government channel through which all employers can access funding for apprenticeships from 1st April. As part of this new arrangement, employers can reserve Government funding to pay for apprenticeship training as well as make claims for incentives that have been launched as part of the Government’s COVID-19 business support arrangements.
Sally Lucas, Executive Director from Chamber Training said: “The transition for all employers to move onto the digital apprenticeship service begins from 1st April and will enable employers to directly manage their apprenticeships.
“At Chamber Training, we are already helping a number of large and small businesses to set themselves up with a new digital account and provide them with the tools to easily access the service and engage with apprenticeships. We have experts on hand to support employers to navigate the apprenticeship journey and design tailored programmes that deliver real impact.
“The extension of the digital apprenticeship service will now give businesses more control over their apprenticeship choices and secure access to funding for new apprenticeships. Only larger employers with an annual pay bill of over £3 million who pay the apprenticeship levy can draw down funding for an unlimited number of starts from the online service.
“Employers who do not pay the apprenticeship levy can access apprenticeship funding from the Government via the online service as well. “
Chamber Training also helps businesses access up to £4,000 of incentives for creating new apprenticeship roles which provide huge benefits back to the business.
