ANOTHER SCHOOLS' CAREERS EVENT HOSTED BY CHAMBER TRAINING
Coventry and Warwickshire Chamber Training (CWCCT) recently played host to careers leads from a range of stakeholders, including schools, Department for Work and Pensions, and the careers service provider, Prospects. At this popular event, the merits of apprenticeships were discussed, and the fantastic way in which they can provide a structured and supported pathway from education into the world of work.
Commenting on the event Anita Tomsett, Apprenticeship Recruitment Lead at Chamber Training, said: “Apprenticeships offer individuals a great way to develop a career, working and learning on and off the job training which is flexible and tailored around a person’s need.”
As far as businesses are concerned, apprenticeships are an ideal vehicle to address their workforce skills’ needs, especially in these challenging times where the labour market is tight.”
“At CWCCT, we are currently working with 200+ employers who realise the benefits apprenticeships bring to the workplace. There is so much to be gained through developing your own people in the ways you want to be. Our apprenticeships range from accountancy, business administration, customer service, teaching assistant, early years care, health and social care, management and hairdressing.”
“As part of our service, we offer individuals a full guidance and support making sure that an apprenticeship is the right fit, as well as a job matching service to link young people, in particular, with local employers and their exciting opportunities.”
“For anyone who lives within the postcodes of CV1-CV6, we are also able to offer funding through the European Social Fund (ESF) which can help individuals move into the world of work, develop their job search techniques and improve their chances of success.”
Simply give us a call to find out how Chamber Training can help individuals and businesses to improve their skills and knowledge.
