Coventry Apprentice Wins Award

Kathleen Culleton-Underwood, a 20 year old Accountancy Apprentice with Zenith Contractors Ltd in Coventry is delighted after winning the Coventry Freeman’s Guild Apprentice of the Year Award 2018.

Whilst undertaking her Apprenticeship with Coventry & Warwickshire Chamber Training, Kathleen has achieved her Intermediate Apprenticeship in Accountancy including gaining her AAT Level 2 Foundation Certificate with merit and ahead of time. She has also progressed on to her Advanced Apprenticeship and has taken and achieved her first exam on her Level 3 AAT in Advanced Book Keeping.

A Coventry company, which produces a range of perimeter security solutions, is building on a 15 years partnership Coventry & Warwickshire Chamber Training.  The first Apprentice employed at the company in 2003 by Chamber Training was Chris Hackett and he is now the Managing Director, proving that employees can achieve their dreams with the right support and guidance.

In particular, over the last 12 months as a result of   government Apprenticeship reforms which have seen the introduction of a business skills element to the programme.
