Playing at Work: The CareerJourneys of Theo Carr & Tre Woodhouse
Tre & Theo both work at Coundon Kidz Club in Coventry. The owner of the club, Liza Jones, readily recognises the many business benefits she has seen from employing Theo and Tre as play workers. Quickly going on to build his skills, knowledge and confidence, Tre progressed on to an Advanced Apprenticeship to take his learning to a higher level.
Tre has ambitions to become a Youth Worker and sees his Apprenticeship journey leading him into Higher Education, setting his sights on an Honours Degree at Coventry University.
Theo Carr launched his career with an Apprenticeship in Children’s Care, Learning & Development, before advancing his skills and knowledge on Intermediate and Advanced Apprenticeships in play work, enjoying all the benefits that working whilst learning can bring. Theo works in the Before & After School Club, Holiday Playscheme and in the wraparound during term time with nursery children.
