Further Apprenticeship Success for Chamber Training
At Coventry & Warwickshire Chamber Training, we are celebrating apprenticeship success at George Eliot Hospital NHS Trust in Nuneaton (GEH).
Adele Lineker started as a receptionist at GEH in 2017 and progressed to a new position of Apprenticeships and Work Experience Administrator in 2018. To develop her skills, knowledge, and experience further, Adele began an apprenticeship as a Business Administrator with Chamber Training, where she seized the opportunity to enhance her career, learn new aspects of how to fulfil her role to the highest standard. She successfully completed her apprenticeship, gaining qualifications, and a wealth of experience along the way.
During the pandemic Adele was instrumental in supporting NHS departments with their work demands, helping the front-line to provide invaluable public service and was part of an Appreciation Project Team for the NHS. As a result of her dedication and commitment to supporting other apprentices and helping students considering NHS careers, Adele was promoted to the role of Learning and Development Officer, an outstanding testimony to her ambition and drive.
Commenting on her continued development and progression within GEH, Maxine Wheeler, Apprenticeship and Work Experience Manager said: “We are delighted with Adele’s success. The apprenticeship route has given Adele an opportunity to progress and develop the necessary skill set to thrive in the National Health Service. The training provided by Chamber Training was instrumental in enabling Adele to shine in what have been challenging times.”
Lucy Howl, GEH’s Account Manager from Chamber Training remarked: “Adele’s story highlights the tremendous opportunities that are out there for apprentices with the right attitude and willingness to learn. Even in these tough times, apprenticeships are a fantastic way for businesses to plan for the future, investing in new talent or upskilling existing staff to strengthen the core of a business, its workforce. At Chamber Training, we tailor apprenticeships to match employers’ needs, so it is worth having a chat with one of our team to see how we can help you.”
“There has never been a better time, in many ways, for businesses to think about apprenticeships as the Government has extended its financial support until 31st March 2021. So, any employer who takes on a new apprentice aged 16-24 years old can access a payment of £2,000, with £1,500 for those aged 25 and above. These payments are in addition to the existing £1,000 for 16 to 18-year-old apprentices.”
