A Feel-Good Story from Chamber Training
A student who recently completed an ILM 5 Diploma at Chamber Training has been in touch to share a lovely feel-good story with us.
Shelley Sheasby is a Care Home Manager at Hylands House Care Home in Stratford Upon Avon, Warwickshire. One of the home’s residents, 78-year-old Clare Smith suffered a long spell in hospital before she was admitted to the care home.
However, she desperately missed her 18-year old cat, Fred, who she had reared from a kitten and she often talked about him and was worried about his welfare.
After various discussions with Clare’s niece and Hyland House Director Kashif Munir, it was decided that Fred would come and live with Clare at the home.
Shelley decided to keep Fred’s arrival as a surprise and brought the much-loved moggy into the home to see her. The pair have been inseparable since their reunion and Fred has made himself at home with all of the residents!
What a lovely story and we wish Clare and Fred all the best for the future.
Shelley has published the article about Clare and Fred, her feline best friend in the Stratford Herald and Stratford Observer.
Clare is seen here with her much-loved cat, Fred.
