COURSE CONTENT
Successful completion of the course will enable individuals to gain City & Guilds Introduction to Trainer Skills Certification.
This course will provide individuals with the knowledge and understanding of the principles and practices that underpin assessment. Add the practically based Assess Competence in the Work Environment course to complete the full set of skills and knowledge in assessment theory and practice.
This will provide you with the competence to practically assess candidates within a work environment following approved standards and criteria using a range of assessment methods. Together with the Award in Understanding the Principles and Practice of Assessment, individuals will gain the full set of practical skills and knowledge in assessment.
This is the knowledge element of internal quality assurance of assessment practice, covering topics such as the purpose of internal quality assurance, including planning how to undertake IQA observation and sampling activity.
Candidates are required to complete assignments. Assessment is in the form of a portfolio of evidence to demonstrate competence in internal quality assurance.
This is a practical unit consisting of undertaking IQA activities in your area of practice. This unit together with the Award in Understanding the Internal Quality Assurance of Assessment Process and Practice, completes the full skill set required to perform internal quality assurance. Assessment is by direct observation and submission of a portfolio of evidence.
ENTRY REQUIREMENTS
There are no formal entry requirements. However, individuals should have the ability to manage the requirements of the level of qualification they are taking.

This two-day course is ideal for individuals who train others within organisations and have had no previous formal training in the different techniques required to effectively train and develop colleagues in the workplace.

The course costs are £400* (Chamber member) or £450* (Non Chamber Member) plus registration.
