Team Leader Apprenticeship
Management and leadership skills have a major impact on the development, productivity and performance of organisations of all sizes and across all sectors of the economy. Proven competence in leading individuals and teams, effective decision making, change management and financial management and control are essential qualities of a successful manager. In today’s fast-moving, competitive environment there is a need to perform the best, deliver a return on investment and make a difference.
Intermediate and advanced apprenticeships are ideal for individuals taking their first steps into line management and for those who have management responsibilities and would like to extend their skills and knowledge. Designed for supervisory or first-line managers, the Level 3 Team Leader/Supervisor Apprenticeship offers practical knowledge and skills from team-leading through to project and resource management to give you the tools you need to start your management journey.
Team Leader apprenticeships are available at a level 3 qualification.
The skills and knowledge developed in the apprenticeship will include:
- Leading & managing people
- Supporting delivery of organisational objectives
- Management of self
- Decision making
- Understanding innovation and change
- Developing inclusive & professional behaviours
It will typically take up to 15 months to complete, although the exact duration will be dependent on the previous experience of the individual. To complete this qualification you will need to supervise a small team.
There are no mandatory entry requirements. The level is determined by an assessment of the individual’s job role.
